 About Us

Local:  The Fremont Branch of the American Association of University Women is an active group with many projects and events.  Every activity is designed to be fun and to relate to our mission statement.  As educated women and men we recognize our powerful voice in the community and choose projects which will impact the community in a positive way.   Join our growing membership and become part of our sisterhood.

The Branch History page discusses our History and lists some of our outstanding past leaders.

State:  The American Association of University Women of California has over fourteen thousand members in local branches, and college and university partner members.  We have an annual state convention, regional training events, and receive updates on legislative activities.

National:  We are a part of the American Association of University Women, headquartered in Washington, D.C.  National policy is set at this level.  When one of our members moves from our Fremont Branch, she soon feels at home anywhere in the US by using the Association database to find an AAUW branch in her new community.

Many of our local members are also members of the International Federation of University Women.

 Join AAUW

Membership Application:   If you wish to join the Fremont AAUW, print the Membership Application, fill it out and mail it to us at the address on the application.  We will welcome you as a member.

Donations:  AAUW will be sponsoring fundraisers throughout the year and we would appreciate your participation.    Events are planned to benefit one of the several programs that support Mission Statement.  You may also make a donation at any time and designate that it go to any of the following:

• Legal Advocacy Fund - Make checks payable to "AAUW LAF"
• Local Scholarships - Make checks payable to "Fremont AAUW"
• Tech Trek - Make checks payable to "Fremont AAUW Local Scholarships"
