Qualifications:  

The Fremont Branch of the American Association of University Women offers scholarships to qualified female students of Ohlone College and the University of Phoenix.  Qualifications are outlined below.

• A current student who has completed two years at either institution and plans to complete her degree at the University of Phoenix in the one case or at any University in the other.

• Grade point average must be 3.0 or higher.

• Financial need and academic standing are major considerations.

• Preference will be given to a resident of the Tri-City area (Fremont, Newark, Union City).

The following documents must be submitted with the application:

• Unofficial copy of college transcript

• Copy of current registration (computer printout showing current classes)

• Completed AAUW scholarship application

• Proof of monthly income and source (for example, last two pay stubs)

• Involvement Statement (Are you involved in any community groups or organizations?) Activities (How do you spend your time?) Let us know if you are now or have ever been an AAUW member.

• Letters of recommendation (optional)
