Welcome to our members and website visitors.  I am pleased and honored to be the Fremont Branch president.  This will be an exciting year for all of us.  Why?  Because we will have new members to meet, new activities to share, and new events to attend which support our mission of gender equity for women and girls.

The past two years our branch has been "revitalized" with the most new members in any AAUW branch in the Nation!  We are growing, and my goal is to connect our branch with A World of Active and Interesting Women, Locally and Globally.

For those of you in business, you already know about globalization because in order to stay in business, you must globalize.   For those of you who travel, you already know that making a personal connection with someone from another country enriches your life.  For those of you who stay at home, you only need to look around you and see how here, in California, the world has arrived at our doorstep.

Above all, I want to remind everyone that AAUW is a "service" organization.  I am going to need your help to keep the Fremont Branch active, interesting and fun.  I want to retain each and every member and make our visitors feel welcome.  Together we are going to create opportunities to explore A World of Active and Interesting Women, Locally and Globally.

So, girls, get on board, and let’s make a name for AAUW in the Tri-City area this year.
